Last night I watched the movie “What happens in Vegas.” The fact that I was laughing throughout was frightening me. (Usually I find dumbed down, slap stick humor repelling.) Maybe I’ve been living in LA too long? In any case, I got totally sucked in and the situation involving these two very different individuals who loathe each other but have a court appointed mandate to live together, to me, is reminiscent of fixed marriages in India. (Fixed marriages, if you didn’t know, have a much higher success rate -less divorce, more happiness- than marriages in the USA and countries without fixed marriages.) So my conclusion is, if you’re basically stuck with someone for a reason other than choice, you will learn to find the good and fall in love with them. Which means I should pluck some random off the street and learn to deal with it, and eventually be happy.
And.. i could watch Ashton Kutcher for hours. He is so utterly telegenic. His features are perfect, as is his body.
Cameron Diaz is waning with age. She should avoid that frosty lipstick she wore throughout the movie which accentuates this fact. But she still has her body, and this movie won’t let you forget that for a second.
